Questions Round Three

Every time I tell myself I am going to blog more, and every time I have the same problem. I don't really have anything to write about. For the past two months or so, I have been either working on my novel or listening to a book. Some people might say that I don't have a life, but hey! I am almost (ALMOST!!!!) ready to send my manuscript off to agents! That has to be something, right?

Taking the advice of my friend, I have decided to do another Q and A...

Who inspires you?
This is a very interesting question since a lot of people tell me I inspire them. I have to say I'm not really a fan of the word "inspire", but used in the right way, I think there are two people who truly inspire me. I know my friends are going to make fun of me for this :)

Even though I'm in my mid-twenties, I absolutely love Taylor Swift. Yes, she writes about boys, boys, and more boys, but when I was her age, I know I thought about boys, boys, and boys. I just think it's awesome she writes most of her songs herself, and I think at one point, she even was her own manager.

Jodi Picoult. I like her because in her novels, she will write about a hot issue, and she will have a character from every side of that issue. Even if you don't agree with something, I think it's extremely important to have an understanding of where that stance is coming from.

What's the most ridiculous question people ask you?
Hahahahaha ohhhh... So I have done online dating websites, and on my profile I say that I have a disability, I'm in a wheelchair, I talk with a communication device, and so on. This guy messaged me and asked me "can you even have a relationship?"

.........

What???

Like... How do you even answer that?

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Probably anything from Lucas, the guy I write songs with. He has taught me everything I know about writing lyrics. Also, any feedback I am getting about my manuscript. I feel like with every piece of feedback, it is just making me a better writer.

What advice do you have for teachers?
Know your students. Know their IEP. Know their strengths. Know their weaknesses.

Until next time...
