Last time I wrote, I was getting ready to submit my manuscript to agents. Well, guess what! I found my dream developmental editor! We are working together to make it bestseller material, and hopefully, something will come out of it! I can't tell you how excited I am for this opportunity!
I wanted to write tonight because I know I'm not the only one who has this problem. I lost a personal assistant a few months ago. I have been looking for another assistant since October. I have tried craigslist. I put an ad in the paper for a month. I interviewed three people who just were not a good fit. Everybody else I email with just eventually stops communicating with me. Fortunately, I still live with my mom and dad so they are able to help me a little.
However, I don't want to live with my parents forever, and they both work full-time. Due to the problem I am having now with not being able to find anybody, I don't feel comfortable with having my own apartment. Ideally, I would like to move to an apartment with 24 hour assistance, and I have found some really great programs, but unfortunately, I don't qualify for any for a number of different reasons.
I just want to put this out there. I'm open to any ideas.
